4/8/16/32 is a publishing project conceived in 2017 by Matt Johnston and Emma Lambert at Coventry University.  Currently still in its early stages, the initial intention is to create a series of small ‘low-fi’ publications authored by individuals from the university, be that student or staff, and produced in collaboration with ourselves. The content and ideas are entirely the author’s own, the design emerges through collaboration, but there is just one condition – it must fit on either 4, 8, 16 or 32 pages. Each publication is then offered on an informal borrow and return, or sold at minimal cost to fund further publications. One copy is also given to the university library.

Another publication is currently in production, with more planned to expand the collection and celebrate the simplicity and curiosity of a bud of an idea starting to form.
